Yesterday, when I went to San Francisco with a few friends, I ended up taking a few photos of some of these unusual things, which I don't usually see in my suburban surrounds. It was the first warm day after weeks of bitter cold, so there were tons of happy people in the streets!
First stop was the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which has an uber-modern addition that was built fairly recently-and as my friend commented-looks like a space-ship.
From the inside, the structure opens into a huge room, where the windows turn into beautiful sky lights.
We also did some window shopping and saw some truly unique things
A woman hanging out on a hoola hoop in a gallery window.
Uniqlo, the Japanese clothing store that is a mix of H&M and American Apparel, didn't disappoint either.
Of course, they would have a mannequin wearing a Hello Kitty dress!
I love the pimped out disco stair-case.
The highlight of the evening was the huge meal we had at Farmer Brown, a soul food restaurant in the Tenderloin. All four of us ordered the Dine-About-Town special, which included two courses and a dessert. I had baby-back ribs for the first course and fried chicken for the second course. Everyone felt like they were going to pop from over-eating!
The dessert stole the show, however. I had a massive slice of red-velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Orgasmic!
