Happy Bir-ZZZ-day, Papa!

It is a cliche to say that we love to celebrate happy occasions with food.  However, it is a sign of how well you know somebody when you are able to pick a restaurant that suites their tastes and personality perfectly.  When it came time to celebrate Dad's birthday, I knew that we couldn't go wrong with a restaurant that served meat, lots and lots of red, juicy meat. 

 This is a skewer of top sirloin from Pampas, a Brazilian rodizio restaurant in Palo Alto.  Dad was very happy because he ordered all-you-can eat meat.  Waiters kept bringing more and more cuts of meat on sticks, and it was good!  Dad didn't eat any chicken, because, really, who wants chicken when you can have a cow or a lamb!

We also ordered lamb meat balls and lamb chops...you get the drift.  Dad also brought a wine bottle that he has been saving for several years.  I didn't get the name or the vintage, but you can really tell that he knows a thing or two about wine.  It was amazing!

 

I think that everyone had a fabulous time, very relaxing and delicious.  Happy...Happy... Birthday Dad!
